to Photo Trivia Question
The correct answer is C. Two classical musicians, concert violinist Leopold Godowsky Jr. and concert pianist Leopold Mannes, both amateur photographers, spent 14 years in their kitchens experimenting with additive and subtractive color processes. Invited by Kodak to move their experiment to Kodak laboratories in Rochester where they invented Kodachrome film. The patent for color photography was awarded in 1935.
Oscar Barnack, product development manager of Ernst Leitz, invented the first 35mm camera in 1913. Because of World War I, production of the camera was delayed for 12 years. Barnack's camera was introduced to the public in 1924 as the Leica.
George Eastman, the founder of Kodak, died in 1932 at age 77 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after enduring years of pain from a degenerative spinal condition.
