I don't know the conversion rate to american money, but one of the best deals right now is the "Canon EOS Digital Rebel" SLR camera. It accepts Canon A/F lenses and has 6.3MP. You can buy it with an 18-55mm lens at B&H Photo for less than $1000 (US). It's a revolutionary camera that has just recently hit the market. It's priced about the same as other 5MP digitals that have fixed lenses. It accepts Canon EOS accessories. It's actually priced the same as a "Nikon CoolPix 5700", and less than a "Minolta Dimage 7Hi".
