: : : I RECENTLY BOUGHT A "CINTAR" LCD DIGITAL CAMERA. I HAVE FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS ON PAGE 8 OF THE QUICK START GUIDE, DOWNLOADED THE 2.1 DIGITAL CAM CD INTO MY COMPUTER AND A SCREEN COMES UP ASKING FOR WHAT KIND OF CAMERA IT IS AND THE CINTAR OR ARGUS DOES NOT COME UP TO TELL THE COMPUTER WHAT KIND OF CAMERA I AM PLUGGING IN. I FOLLOWED ALL INSTRUCTIONS ON PAGE 8. AND I GET TO CLICK START PROGRAMS "MGI PHOTOSUITE III SE" IT SAYS IT WILL OPEN THE SOFTWARE TO EDIT, CROP AND PRINT YOUR PICTURES. I DO NOT HAVE "MGI PHOTOSUITE III SE" IS THIS ANOTHER CD I DOWNLOAD INTO THE COMPUTER OR WHERE DO I GET ONE?

: : Dear Desperate,
: : Im in a similar situation. I can't find the driver for my CINTAR camera to be able to save my files to the computer. Since the mini diskette that you use with the camera will only hold a certain number of photos, Im running out of room and no where to turn. I believe in your case, you have to check the version of WINDOWS your using. What version does your camera say you need in order to operate.

: I am also having problems. I can't transfer the pictures to my computer. The instructions say there is a copy of "Photo Loader" on the CD. There is no "Photo Loader" anywhere in any of the applications I downloaded. Therefore, I cannot transfer the pictures! I have a compatible version of windows, too.

OK Peeps. It's crazy, but I stumbled upon the answer. It's absolutely ridiculous, and you'll never believe what works. I had the same problem with mine -- wouldn't recognize the USB port either. NEway ..... in addition to the driver instructions that came with the camera ... you have to set the camera up as a separate storage device, as if it's a drive. I got the driver for it off of my WIN98SE CD ... the only driver in the \Drivers\Misc directory -- it's a generic driver for a disk drive larger than 2MB....

Fight it. You'll win. Good luck
