: what is the advantage and disadvantages of slide film over negative film and vice versa ?
: when to use a slide film rather than negative film ?
: if someone can answer, i really appreciate it.

There is no film which IS better or worse. There are films which suit your needs better or worse.

Slide films are made for projecting the resulting slides. Since projection includes illumination, of course you will get a brightness of colors and a color contrast which is clearly superior to negative (or print) film - but only as long as the slides are projected. It is of course possible to make prints of slides, but in most cases they don't turn out as good as prints from print film. You always will loose some contrast compared to the projected slide.

Negative or print film should be your choice if you prefer to have a look at prints. Prints can be handed out easily and you don't need your projection equipment to show them. Also, for exhibitions etc it is easier to make good prints of a negative/print film than to make good ones from slides.
