I would like to clear up some facts from the previous messages. I was the former Quality Control Supervisor of Mystic Color Lab. The employees did not get 24hrs notice. They received sixty days as Conn. law states. While operations were shutting down after nov. 22nd, employees received their regular pay until Jan 12th. The end of the sixty days. Even if their job was no longer needed. After that clean up of the lab continued. Yes it was very sad indeed that a profitable local company for 30yrs was sold to a competitor. Im sure if better business minds were involved with this transaction and some effort was made to have the company remain in Mystic this situation could have come out differently. It was a loss overall for many people, the customers, the employees, vendors, and the local economy.
