: I have a Canon EOS 630 and have been told that they don't make a shutter release cable for this camera any longer. I don't see any place to put the cable anyway.
: When I called B&H they said something about having to change the grib on the camera first before trying to find a used shutter release for that camera.
: Do you know anything about this? I love the camera but would like to get into night and low light photography. Should I just upgrade to a Rebel?
You have GR30 grip on your camera.
For remote (wired or IR) release you need GR20 with T3 socket (Mfr Catalog Old#C51-9921001, New#2371A001, CHF 80.00, €38.16) and at least
Remote Switch 60-T3 (Mfr Catalog # 2449A001 •$24.95 ) for manual release.
To go to Rebel would be for many users a downgrade NOT an upgrade.
