Hi all
This is the first time I’ve contacted this forum in fact I only found the web site the other day.
I would like some advice re a project that I am about to start. I have about 8500ft of 8m/m cine film that I want to get on to my PC then hopefully on to CD.
I’m using an Elmo projector, a Kewmode Image Transfer Box into my Hitachi integrated camera/video recorder. I have to focus the movie on to a ground glass screen then to an internal mirror then through a lens into the camera.
I’ve tried always but I can’t get the dam thing to get into crisp focus, the instructions that came with the box aren’t very helpful either.
A RF converter came with the camera but it’s a pig to find a channel and when I do it wont hold it.
Does anyone have a similar set up? And if so what results are they getting and how, does anyone have any suggestions as to any other way to do the job. I have had some fair results using the camera as it should be i.e. up on the shoulder, but I find that if the shot is a pan shot I tend to follow and end up out shot!!.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone, you can mail me direct at gracious1@onetel.net.uk
