Do you have the camera set to Spot Metering mode? This causes a pre-flash like the one you describe. If you switch to Centre Metering (i.e. the spot metering icon is not showing on the LCD panel) this should stop the pre-flash.
As it says in the instruction manual (under Setting the Metering Mode" in section 3 Other Ways to Use your Camera:
"At spot metering, when you use the built-in flash, a preliminary flash
light is emitted to do metering by pressing the shutter release button
down halfway. The regular flash light is emitted by pressing the shutter
release button down all the way."
Hope this helps.

: I need to know something about the built-in pop up flash of Olympus C-2500L Digital Camera. When I focus something there is a flash right prior to shoot / expose the object, how can I disable that prior light of Flash ???
: Kindly comment and oblige.
