: Definetly.

All this pixel talk reminds me of the Middle Ages, when one of the biggest issues of religious concern or argument, was as to how many angels or pixies could fit on the head of a pin!!!! Abstruse and arcane to most, the concept was called Scholasticism. But, my point of pun, is that like engine horsepower, more is generally better when it comes to megapixels.

Again, however, like engine horsepower in a car, how much more one needs and is prepared to pay for, is another issue, like the purpose of one's photos.

Oh, for those good old days when we just wanted cameras that could shoot film faster than ASA 25, the old Kodachrome II. I actually felt like I was getting away with something when I was able to buy and use Ektachrome with an ASA speed of 64 ! Or,when I slogged around with fast b/w film at 110 like TriX.

We've come a long way baby !!!!!
