I agree with Moose. Though your camera doesn't have a Program mode, so you don't have to worry about whether the lens is MC or MD compatible. Speed of the lens is important, and a 2X will cut your lens speed in half. There are longer telephoto lenses that are fast, but they are costlier than most amateur photogs can afford. Forget the 2X and go for the fast (f2.8) 135mm.
