My wife is entered in the current "wandering Spirits" album soon to be released.

At this stage she has not signed anything, i have looked through the forms - there is a paragraph on page 2 of the main letter:

"...you must complete the enclosed Artist's Proof stating that "my wifes photo" is your original work of art. And , let me assure you, your image remains your property--Wandering Spirits is copyrighted as a compilation. The copyright notice for your photo is published in your name. This means that you retain the copyright to your own work of art"

If anybody requires a copy of any of the paperwork, i am quite happy to scan a copy and send it via e-mail.

This has somewhat confused the issue now, my wife has been very excited about the whole thing, she'll be a little unhappy i guess as a result if this does in fact turn out to be a scam...and we'll be happier if they do end up owing the 'owners' of the photos some cash...

: Did you sign a release? Was their any "implied" release by letting them use your photo? If so did that release state that you would be compensated if they made money from your photo? If not, contact your attorney.
