Your favourite slide film is still around - Kodak still make Kodachome 25, complete with mailing envelopes for their K-14 process! For grainless, high saturation slides, it's unbeatable. But don't forget your tripod... 25ASA is pretty S L O W !
But today's Ektachrome (E6 process) films are MUCH better than they were back in the seventies. Kodak, AGFA and Fuji all make first rate slide film - you'll have to experiment to find out which ones you like best.
