I am currently looking into purchasing an 8mm movie camera, but i am not very familiar with movie cameras. I want to buy one to begin making short films because i would like to go to film school, but i have only ever used digital camcorders and video cameras. I thought that starting off by purchasing an 8mm format movie camera woudl be much less expensive and would give me the same chance to gain experience as a 16mm camera would and it would cost much less. I have begun to research 8mm cameras on the internet at various sites, but i still do not know which cameras are the best to buy, where would be the best place to purchase a camera, basically i woudl appreciate any guidence anyone coudl give me regarding purchasing an 8mm camera, thank you
