Thanks again to Mikeb and Jon. Another problem with that Retina, that seems to be ok cosmetically but not mechanically. Difficulty with a Signet 40 also.
Well, I have this Retina Reflex (first model) that I just bought at ebay. There was a minor problem with the shutter (sticking blades) that was resolved with the advice from Mikeb. While checking the result of the cleaning, I noticed that the diaphragm was wide open, but the set ring was showing f11. Well, the problem is that the diaphragm is not working, stays wide open in all settings of the ring and I don’t know if it can be fixed. I have a manual with exploded views and service hints, but have no idea of what to do.
By the way, I also have a Kodak Signet 40 that I am cleaning. It’s a rather simple model of shutter and with some tips from the internet I could clean it without great pain. Nonetheless, while trying to open the top plate to clean the rangefinder, I had to stop at a screw. It was under the rewind lever, which I could not take off to reach that screw. I tried to hold the shaft while turning the crank counterclockwise, but that doesn’t seem to work.
