Thank you for your reply. I cannot detect any movement or bulges beneath the leatherette. The lens barrel moves within the focus ring which is solid and doesn't wobble at at all. I haven't attempted to disassemble it as yet because I want to have an idea of where I'm going when I do. I appreciate any suggestions as to what might cause this.
: : The lens has loosened up on this camera and this is causing the shutter blades not to open unless the lens is pressed toward the body and held when the shutter is tripped. I would appreciate any advice as to how this can be retightened.
: Check whether the leatherette right and left from the lens bulges when shaking the lens barrel. If so, just peel back the leatherette and tighten the screws on the corners of the lens mount plate.
