Who can tell me the best software to use for digital photography. Presently i am using Arcsoft photoimpression. Its ok but i know there is better. Help!
Editor's Note: While Adobe Photoshop is unquestionably the industry standard, it is very expensive ($600+) and extreme overkill for the amateur photo enthusiast. The learning curve for Photoshop is steep and Adobe's annual upgrades make the program more useful or more cumbersome to use, depending on the user's background. Adobe's Photoshop Elements is much more user friendly and less expensive. Also look at Jasc Software's Paint Shop Pro. In my opinion, one of the best full-featured image editing programs ever made is Micrografx Picture Publisher which has been abandoned by Corel after their purchase of Micrografx Inc.
