Hey! This sounds like several complaints that I've heard about XP compatibility. Thanks to Microsoft once again. I would check out the Sharp web site to see if they had an updated driver for Windows XP. If they don't, the camera will probably have to be used with earlier operating systems.

Thanks John. I think the problem is not with Windows XP but with the sharp digital camera. i found out that it doesn't use a driver, it relies on software like pixlab (which doesn't work with XP) and paint shop pro 7 with the jasc digital camera support (which does work).

Hi. I have the exact same problem in XP, but my Sharp digital camera wont work in Paint Shop Pro neither. Can there be any other things i may check out ? I get "exposures taken: -1" when i try to acquire. What baud rate did you try and so on?
Could there be any other settings in camera or something?
