I have recently inherited this camera and after looking on the internet, I see that it is the Zeiss contarex bullseye camera. From what I can find out, it seems that there's 2 versions of this camera but I don't know which one I have. I found the following:
The Bullseye was available from 1959-66. After 1964, they feature a few changes, the most important being the interchangeablity of focusing screens, and the data strip, for recording data onto the film as you expose it. Both versions are code 10.2401.
When they say focusing screens are they referring to the lens? How do I tell if it's interchangeable - I have no manual and don't want to break the lens trying to remove it. Also, what is the data strip and where would I find it? Where do I find the code? Probably pretty basic questions for you camera buffs, but I can't even find how to load the film in this camera. An instruction manual would be helpful, but I need to know what camera I have first. Any help is appreciated and if you know a site where I can get a manual, I would appreciate that as well. Any idea what this is worth?
I got the info from this site http://www.pacificrimcamera.com/pp/zeiss/contarex/bullseye.htm
Thank you so much!
