I smashed my Cannon A1 and I have a "new for old" clause in my insurance policy.

A number of camera shops I contacted said that a Cannon EOS 30 was direct equivalent the Cannon A1. The insurance company said it is a Cannon EOS 300

My Cannon A1 kit was made up of a 28mm wide angle, a 100-300mm telephoto, a 50mm, a 35-135mm zoom, and a multiplier all in FD fitting. I also have a good quality flash gun. I believe that my policy entitles me to the same spread of lenses and flash as my Cannon A1 so whats the closest, an EOS 30 or an EOS 300?

Under the circumstances of what I set out above waht is the definitive answer to the question, "What is the direct modern replacement to a Cannon A1. A Cannon EOS 30, an EOS 300 or something else?
