My shutter sticks open after I close it. The only way to close it is by hitting the small black button on the left of the camera. Is my shutter release sticking? What is the best way to fix this?

No, no,
The shutter release does not control the closing of the shutter
in any way except when using the bulb "B" setting. If
it did when the the camera was workimg normally you would be
controlling the shutter speed depending on how long you held down
the release button. The two most likely causes are a low battery
or sticking shutter timing solanoid in the base of the camera. If
a fresh battery does not correct the problem, please let a
qualified camera repair technician fix it. Trying to repair it
yourself almost always results in a trashed camera.
