I am considering buying a complete rangefinder kit that includes a Yashica Electro 35 G as one of the backups. However, I have alternately heard that there are no longer available batteries for these cameras, but also have heard that one can substitute a combination of currently available photo batteries that will work properly. It is my understanding that, as the shutter speed is electronically controlled, batteries are absolutely necessary. If anyone can clear this up efore I make a purchase, I would greatly appreciate it.
