anyone have any suggestions on labs that deal with b&w processing? I've used some local photo places and have been disappointed with the results.

Many mini-labs print black and white on paper intended for color prints. This makes them looking dingy and sometimes with a greenish cast. Make sure the lab you take them to uses black and white paper for your prints. This makes a huge difference!
