>> Is there a way to hook up my camcorder to my computer and download the images from it using the S-video port on the video card - i tried hooking it up with minimal success. Do I need some kind of driver. when I run a capture program (the name of it escapes me now) it tells me that a video capture driver may not be installed - I can't find any of these off the internet. any help will be appreciated - thanks
A couple years ago I purchased Belkin's USB VideoBus product (about $100 at that time), which included the MGI PhotoSuite software that provides the drivers to make this happen (USB port on PC needed). Adapter has S-Vid and typical video jack. I found it easy to use but have PLENTY of disk space available. You are able to choose the storage format. I then transferred file to CD-R. Good luck
