I'll be quite frank: My cousin's father died recently. As the settlement of the estate. She has one sister who is quite (VERY) questionable of character. So, I need your help. Please. Trust me, I have 'no dog in this fight'. Except for justice.

At the end of his combat tour of duty in Korea as a pilot of B-25 and B- 26's. He was ready to come home. He purchased a 'nice' camera before leaving. A Leica M3 with an assortment of lenses.
Yet, he had another camera he used often. And just put the Leica away to 'rub on' occasionally. I saw it within the past year. And I swear to you, it looked like it had just rolled off the production line. Original book. Hardback instruction manual. A letter from the Japan distributor for Japan, handsigned, thanking and congratulating him on his purchase. Leather case, etc.

I've been attempting to explain to my cousin that this is not an 'everyday thing'. Yet, even I have no idea what a MINT condition Leica M3 as described above may be worth. Just the body, not to mention the lenses.

Can someone please provide me with a ballpark figure in US dollars as to such. I'd appreciate it more than you can possibly imagine. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide me.

Regards, Bob Allison, Jr.
