Vignetting is a common problem with auxiliary W/A lenses. With the wide angle attachment you are probably at about 25mm when your lens is set at 50mm. The "Dimage 7" has a very long zoom range (28-200mm), so a W/A attachment won't get all that much use. Considering the vignetting problem, you have no real advantage. If it's any consolation, I have the same problem using a W/A auxiliary lens on my Epson 3100Z digital camera. The only way out if you want an ultra-wide lens, is to opt for a digital SLR system camera. That will cost thousands of bucks.
