I currently have a Minolta 5000 camera that I've had for some time. The last time I used it the pictures were not that impressive, but then again, I've never had the camera serviced. I'm considering buying an updated Minolta model, but am curious to know if you think that maybe my current model (the 5000) may just need servicing and that I should keep it and perhaps purchase a new lense for it instead of investing money into another camera. I've had the camera a while and it was given to me as a gift, so I'm not really sure how good the camera is currently rated, let alone, 15 years later. The camera that I'm looking at is the Minolta STsi QD. I like the additional options on this camera, but wanted a second opinion as to where I should place my money.
Any thoughts woud be most appreciative.
