The lens you have is probably for a Minolta manual-focus camera. Your camera is an auto-focus camera. The lenses are not interchangeable. I know of no adapter that will let you use that lens on your Maxxum. Even if you could adapt it, you wouldn't be able to use auto-focus. The best thing to do is try to exchange or get a refund. If that's not possible, list it on eBay and try to recover your loss. Good Luck!
