The Konica you speak of has a 3.34 megapixel capacity. That will give you enough pixels for good results when printing 8" X 10" images with some cropping. Because of the limited 2X optical zoom capability, it would not be my personal choice. The Konica brand name is a respected trade mark, and I'm sure that the optical quality is good, and limited only by the short zoom.
The base model E-Mini Konica that Don has is only capable of 640 X 480 resolution. That's why he's not pleased with his Konica. 640 X 480 is barely good enough for wallet size photos.
