I have been given a cine projector (1960s in appearance) which is complete and working except that it has no reels. The brand name is MATAHARI (!) and it appears to be for use with standard (double run) 8mm BUT the spindles that the reels mount on are 8mm in diameter and I have been told that standard 8 projectors all have quarter inch (6mm)diameter spindles.
I have assumed that it is for std. 8 because a) it was given to me by the widow of the previous owner along with his cameras which are definately std. 8 and b) the pins on the drive sprockets match up with the sprocket holes on std 8 film.
So, is this projector for some other gauge and if so, what?
