Hi, I have a 1980's vintage Minolta XD-11 that I have started recently using again. I recently purchased over a Minolta auto winder D on E-Bay which I want to use to help capture high speed photos of my sons model rocket launches.
I've put new batteries in the winder, attached it to the bottom of the camera, turned the power on but the unit doesn't advance the film when the shutter is depressed. My question is -- Is there any camera settings that I need to change to get the winder to work or did I buy a bum steer. Where else could I look for a fault?
There was no manual that came with the winder.
