I don't know the name of the part, but it's the little flaps that close over the lens. When I opened the the flash I realized that the flaps were staying closed so I forced them open, the "H" went away and was able to take pictures again. The cause of the sticking of the flaps was from sand getting stuck between them and the lens...Hope it helps you too.
