The GAF L-CM is reported to be the same camera as the Chinon CM and Argus CR-1. It was first introduced to the marketplace in 1975. see http://anusf.anu.edu.au/~aab900/photography/cameras/chinon.htm
The GAF L-CM is a screw mount lens camera, taking M-42 mount lenses, of which there are millions lying in dust in pawn shops around the world. Very cheap to acquire if you don't show too much interest in buying them.
Before spending any money on your camera, I would make sure it works without problems because getting it repaired will be prohibitively expensive.
: I just came across a Gaf L-CM camera myself. I was looking for information on it on your website but I would like more information regarding the camera and it's features. I noticed that this illustration leads you to the cm-1 and I've seen the camera on the illustration and it is not the l-cm. But you do have it on another website and it is my camera. It just shows the pictures, but what I would like to know is if these cameras interchange lenses???
