I'm thinking about buying the Sony 707 digital camera. From what I've read, it uses a proprietary Sony flash connector. Do you know if there's an adaptor that would allow me to use my studio flash units with this camera? I use a standard PC cord now, but suspect that wouldn't simply plug into the Sony. Thanks.

As I understand this situation a delayed optical slave can be used to trigger your studio lights. I'm in the same boat, if I can work this out, I would buy the 707 as well. Have a look at the site under the listing Digi-Slave. From there you can look up the phone number and give them a call.
While I want to use the camera in a studio situation , I also want to trigger a remote flash for beach portraits. I think it can be done, the camera will have to be shot in manual. -- David Grabowski

I use the FD-95 from Sony with my studio flash. I trigger the built in Slave on my Studio Flash with the Flash I attach to my FD95. This has worked well for me over the past 2 years.
I am also going to buy the Sony 707. I am going to use the same method to trigger my Studio Flash.
