: Does anyone know how to roll your own 127 film from modern 120 roll film?????
First, you don't start with 120 film. You get a roll of 46mm film. This is used by school photographers and comes in 100 foot rolls, usually 160 asa color film. Then you recycle 127 film rolls and make a template to cut the 46mm film to the correct length. Roll the backing paper onto the takeup reel. Lightly tape the film (in the dark of course) to where it was attached originally, and unroll out the film and backing paper together. When you get to the end of the film, start rolling the backing paper onto a new 127 roll and carefully make sure the film and backing paper stay straight. when you get back to the tape, pull it off gently and retape it down. Continue rolling untill you get to the end. lightly tape the end and get set to use (or just put it in the camera). Never throw out your old film roll or backing paper.
Or you buy B@W or chrome film from J&C.
