: Trying to do BIG closeups. Where can I get these lenses. Nobody seems to have heard of them??
----
There are five of them listed right now on ebay. They aren't cheap. Here is part of the description from one of the auctions for those who wondered about them:
"This is one of the tiny thimble shaped ultra-high quality macro lenses Zeiss made for Linhof, Hasselblad and Rollei and can be easily fitted to many more cameras using adapters. These lenses were made in the standard RMS microscope thread and were also used with Zeiss Photomicroscopes and the Ultraphot. The 63mm lens covers 4X5 at magnifications from 2 to 10X and is optimized for 3.2X.The lens has a diaphragm which is calibrated in exposure factors rather than fstops as is the style for macro lenses functioning in their intended way.Optimum performance is wide open and the image gains depth of field at the expense of optimum resolution as the lens is stopped down (diffraction effect)."
