its not easy to get scans for medium format at reasonable prices.
if you have medium format equipment its probably because you like the quality.
in order to take full advantage you need a scanner that scans at at last 2800 and possibly 4000 dpi
This means specialised scanners designed for slides such as Nikon hi end or Minolta hi end at 3000$+. The cheaper flat bed scanners just won't do it.Even if they have high dpi they still washout and distort the colours in ways that no amount of touching up can make up for. Nikon just introduced a new one this week. 8000E?
An alternative is to send them out to services such as www.imagers.com, but the cost is still 10$ per slide for a 72mb scan.
Of course the best scans come from drum scanners at 4000 dpi but they are at least 40$ each.
