I got my T-50 new in the mid 1980's. After just a few years, my camera developed a problem which I have since learned is inherent in the T-50 -- the shutter would not work. At that time I had the shutter replaced, which cost about $100.00. About a year ago, It happened again. At that time, I did not live near a good camera shop, so I decided to purchase a used T-50 body on an online auction site. It worked fine at first, but I have only used about three rolls of film, and last week, my shutter failed.

I believe it is probably futile to get the shutter fixed in either body, but I still have several FD lenses that I want to keep and use. And I know the T-50 is not made anymore (probably with good reason!!!)
My question -- is there a good affordable SLR camera made now that I can use with my lenses, or am I better off to get a completely new camera system? I do like manually focusing, which I understand is an option with most AF cameras made now. But cost is a consideration here, too.
