Hi

I have recently bought a Nikon FG from a friend. I have also just received a photocopy of the users manual I sent away for a few weeks ago.

I have read the part on flash photography and am confused about using other than Nikon manufactured flashes. The shoe on my Vivitar flash is pretty simple with just the flash trigger contacts. I suspect that automatic flash settings with the Nikon flashes would not work here.

It does not seem to say what setting I should set my speed and aperture settings in "P", "A" and manual modes with this type of flash. Hope you can help me here.
