If you have any thrift stores nearby (Goodwill, etc) check them for projectors. I have bought 3 this way, all in excellent condition and very cheap ($5 to $15). If you find one be sure to plug it in and check to make sure it runs and the lamp is good. Lamps can be very expensive, that's why I bought more than one projector, they are cheaper than new lamps! Also make sure it handles super 8 film for your use. One that handles 8 and super 8 is even beter. You may have to keep checking the store until one shows up, hope you are not in a hurry. (I also got a good screen, $2.50).
