: Are you sure about that Don? I was told that Duracell currently makes a battery that will work in the camera.
: I see you are from Oregon too! I live in the Beaverton area. Small world eh?
: Cheers,

: : Bad news Jim
: : The battery for that camera is no longer made. The PX32 battery had mercury in it so got whacked by the environmentalists. It was a 5.6 volt battery. It is possible to make-shift a 6 volt battery (PX28L) into the battery chamber, but you have to wrap the sides of the new battery and extend one of the contacts.
: : If you do get it working, I have an owners manual for the Electro 35. I'd charge you $10 including shipping. If you want it, go to our manuals page and at the bottom, select other then order.

: : : I bought this camera on Ebay. It came without a battery or manual. The seller will not answer my emails. I need the type (model) of battery that it requires.
: : : Thanks for any help.

The Electro GSN originally called for a PX32 Mercury battery. I spoke to the engineers at Yashica and was told to use a PX32A Alkaline battery and that it would work as good as the Mercury battery. I bought one and put it in my GSN and it did work perfect. Radio Shack carries the PX 32A and it is made by Duracell.
