I have acquired a Canon T50 and it is currently being cleaned. It has a 50 mm lens and I would like to purchase a zoom lens for all types of pictures. I have checked out eBay and am confused. The lens say FD mount and some are advertised as Gemini, sigma, vivitar, etc... Does it matter what brand? Does any FD mount fit the T50? Also which zoom lens would work best? I take snapshots of all types - short range to long range. Thanks for any input you may have.
Editor's Note: yes, any FD mount lens will fit the Canon T50. No, FD lenses are not all created equal. If you are an indoor photographer, look for a 35-70mm zoom. If you are mainly an outdoor photographer, look for a 70-210mm zoom (or thereabouts.) FD lenses are plentiful. Stick with a major brand, Canon, Vivitar Series 1, Tamron and Tokina are your safest bets.

Hello, I am a user of Canon T50 :
question 1 : What is the "M" blanking in it?
question 2 : What is the red point on the "Canon FD 50/
1.4" in the numbers of "depth of view"? Thanks.
