I just bought a older Sony camcorder (Auto Handycam, Video8) Model ccd-v5. The problem it doesn't have the battery. I thought i could use it at home with a CD adapter without a battery but that did not work. Must a batery be installed in order to work on DC adapter? Thanks for any help. Saad
