While Latent Image Regression certainly takes place, it IS possible to retrieve images - I have got images from film dating back to 1935. You might like to try my UK service - Process C-22. I can develop any film you have, colour or B&W. So far, I am working to a 90% success rate in image retrieval.
If anybody has an old film, let me know - I can develop it for you, and I will give you a quotation is US dollars upon enquiry.
