I purchased the Nikon N80 about a month ago and I've run into the same problem numerous times now. I have a Nikkor 35-70 2.8D and a Tamron 200-400 5.6D. What is happening is that I turn the camera on and the autofocus is nonresponsive. The only way I can get the autofocus to work is if I keep taking whichever lens I'm using off the mount and slipping it back on, each time turning the power off then on. I sometimes have to do this ten or more times before the autofocus kicks in. This is getting very frustrating, and I'm positive it's not user error!
Anyone with feedback or similar problems, please advise. Thanks, Zep
