There are some Zenit SLRs, and they may have different way to rewind the film. One Zenit I used a few years ago as far as I can remember has a shutter release button which you have to press a half and then turn clockwise to allow rewind by the left cassette. The other one has special very small button just close to shutter release button.
When your Zenit is empty of any film, open back cover and try to push and/or rotate all buttons on its top to find the right way to rewind film back.
You can also apply to http://www.sight.ru/ a Russian photo resource and ask your question in english at the "cnpocu y npofu" sub page. Hope this will help.
P.S. By the way, what was the reason to buy so bad quality, so ugly Russian SLR ?
