: How can I Get my videos to be in widescreen? What do I use? Let me know.
Are you talking about video tapes you shoot yourself, or video tapes/DVD discs you have purchased? If you are talking about home video, you must use a camcorder capable of shooting in the widescreen format. You cannot turn a home video shot in the normal TV screen aspect ratio of 4:3 into a video with a widescreen aspect ratio. The same is true for most VHS movies purchased - they are sold in the "pan-and-scan" format which perfectly fits the standard television screen (and crops out large amounts of the picture on the left and right hand side of the screen.) Many DVDs being sold are in widescreen format.
