: I can't find any info on what kind/brand of lube to use on my film cameras. I have old cameras: Bolex, Filmo, Keystone, etc. Somebody give me some info!! Thanks!
Dear Jacko,
Regarding your question on camera lubrication you should be aware that the wrong lubricant as well as random application can actually harm you cameras. Bolex cameras for instance run dry and do not need any lubrication at all. With other cameras usually only some rollers and gears require lubrication and depending on the bearings etc. specific oils are required. Information as well as lubricants can usually be found at camera rental houses such as Panavision, SMS, Abel Cinetech, etc..
