I'm getting tired of lugging my Canon AE-1 with Tamron 28-200
lens around.
How do folks find the Pentax IQZoom 200?
Thanks Pat

I recently bought the Pentax IQZoom 200 Date for $335 from PhotoAlley.com. Yes, it has the most powerful zoom among 35mm point and shoot cameras. I've developed only 1 roll so far. All the snaps were shot indoors. Most of them have come out quite good. Some of them are exceptionally clear and sharp, especially the closeups. The focus got messed up in a few of them, it could have been my mistake. I'm still experimenting with it so it should be another few rolls before I master the various features. Even I was considering buying an SLR but thought it would be extremely inconvenient to lug the heavy SLR equipment around while on a vacation, hence settled for this one. So far I think it's worth the money. The construction seems solid. It uses only one CR123A Lithium battery. The flash seems quite powerful. It has plenty of features to get the right kind of photograph depending on the lighting, etc. I haven't tried the panoramic mode yet (mid-roll switchable). It's real easy to use and has a multi-exposure mode. I would definitely recommend this camera to beginners as well as experienced folks. Sharan

I purchased mine from Wal-Mart. I can't remember what I paid for it. It seems like either $279 or $379. The pictures that I've taken inside haven't come out very good, but all of the others have been great. Overall I've enjoyed my camera.
