The A1 was the top of the line Canon consumer camera for a long time. The only thing better from Canon was the pro workhorse F1.
I've been seeing good A1's at swaps and used dealers going for around $250. Since there are so many good used autofocus bodies around now, I don't think I'd want to pay more than $250 for an A1 and I'd rather pay less.
