Please follow the link below for a user manual online.

Is the camera good enough for professional pictures? Certainly, if it is in good working condition,it's a fine camera. High end cameras aren't what make good pictures possible, although they do help. Many Pros carry a 50mm lens among others.

A 50mm lens is very good to have for four reasons:

1. Normally the 50mm lens supplied as the standard lens with cameras in years past lets in a lot more light (f/stop 1.7 or 1.4) than zoom lenses that are so popular today (f/3.4 to 4.5).

2. The 50 mm lens represents the most natural field of view as that is approximately what the human eye sees in one glance. This will impart a more "believeable" look to your photos.

3. A hidden third reason. The optical distortion of a 50mm lens is usually less than that of wide angle zoom lenses. There is less glass (or fewer lenses inside) and less manipulation of the image so fewer problems with scale and perspective in the 50mm.

4. Another hidden reason. You will get more exercise with a 50mm when composing a photograph. Instead of turning a zoomring to fit the scene you will have to walk, climb, or otherwise move to the correct place to get the shot.
